ABOUT US

Hanoi Women Travel — Hanoi Jeep Tours Led by Women

Three Women. One City. One Vision of Travel.

Hanoi Women Travel was born from a friendship that began long before tourism became our profession.

In 2017, three lifelong friends from Hanoi — Hien Helen, Linh Lily, and Vy Vicky — came together to build a travel company inspired by something deeply personal: their love for the city they grew up in, their shared education in tourism, and their belief that Hanoi should be experienced not simply as a destination, but as a living city full of stories, people, traditions, contrasts, and unforgettable moments.

We went to the same school, grew up together in Hanoi, studied tourism together, and began our professional journeys in the travel industry. We worked in sales, customer service, tour operations, and as tour guides, learning from every traveler we welcomed and every journey we helped create.

Those years taught us an important lesson.

A great tour is not simply about seeing more places.

It is about seeing a destination differently.

It is about meeting the people behind the streets, understanding the history behind the buildings, discovering the neighborhoods that guidebooks often overlook, tasting food where everyday life happens, and having the freedom to stop, look, listen, ask questions, and experience Vietnam at your own pace.

That philosophy became the foundation of Hanoi Women Travel.

Today, we specialize in Hanoi Jeep Tours Led by Women, creating distinctive private and small-group experiences that combine the character of Vietnam’s iconic open-air Army Jeeps with the knowledge, warmth, confidence, and personal perspective of Vietnamese women who know Hanoi by heart.

Our ambition is simple: to show you the Hanoi we love — not only the Hanoi you expect to see.

OUR STORY

From Three Friends to a Women-Led Travel Company

When Hien, Linh, and Vy started their careers in tourism, they experienced the industry from different perspectives.

We worked directly with international travelers. We answered questions, planned itineraries, solved unexpected problems, guided guests through the city, listened to their stories, and learned what made a journey truly memorable.

We also saw the enormous potential of Vietnamese women in tourism.

Women were already working across the industry — as guides, travel consultants, drivers, operators, hotel professionals, restaurant owners, artisans, entrepreneurs, and community hosts — yet we believed there was an opportunity to create a company where women could take a more visible and meaningful leadership role.

So in 2017, we decided to build something of our own.

We created a travel company with a clear purpose: to create exceptional travel experiences while creating more opportunities for Vietnamese women to participate, grow, lead, and build careers in tourism.

What began with three friends gradually developed into a wider team of women who share the same passion for hospitality, culture, storytelling, and responsible tourism.

Our journey has never been about becoming the biggest company.

It has always been about becoming a company travelers can trust.

WHY JEEP?

A Different Way to Discover Hanoi

Hanoi is a city of contrasts.

Elegant French architecture stands beside narrow ancient houses. Modern cafés appear beside traditional markets. Quiet residential lanes open into crowded streets. Ancient temples exist only minutes from rapidly developing neighborhoods. Beyond the city center, rice fields, villages, farms, rivers, and traditional communities continue to shape everyday life.

You can see Hanoi from a bus.

You can walk through Hanoi.

But there is something uniquely memorable about experiencing Hanoi from an open-air Jeep.

The Jeep gives you a different perspective.

You are not separated from the city behind closed windows. You can feel the breeze, hear the sounds of the streets, watch daily life unfold around you, and move naturally between Hanoi’s famous landmarks and its lesser-known corners.

Our Jeep experiences are designed around that sense of discovery.

We take our guests beyond the obvious itinerary and into backstreets, narrow alleys, hidden neighborhoods, markets, historic districts, countryside roads, villages, farms, lakes, riversides, cultural sites, and everyday communities that reveal another side of Hanoi. The original Hanoi Jeep concept similarly focuses on getting off the beaten track and combining major sights with backstreets, hidden places, villages, culture, history and countryside.

For us, the Jeep is not simply transportation.

It is part of the experience.

HANOI JEEP TOURS LED BY WOMEN

The City Through a Woman’s Perspective

Our greatest difference is not only the Jeep.

It is who you travel with.

Hanoi Women Travel specializes in Jeep Tours Led by Women, bringing together experienced Vietnamese female guides, travel professionals, and hosts who are passionate about sharing Hanoi with international travelers.

Our women are not simply there to point out monuments and repeat information from a guidebook.

They are storytellers.

They are travelers.

They are Hanoi women.

They understand the city’s history, culture, food, neighborhoods, traditions, and everyday rhythms — because Hanoi is part of their own lives.

With them, a journey becomes more conversational, personal, and spontaneous.

You can ask about Vietnamese family life, education, food, traditions, modern Hanoi, the changing city, women’s lives, Vietnamese culture, or simply what it is like to grow up in Hanoi.

Sometimes the most memorable part of a journey is not the destination itself.

It is the conversation you have along the way.

SEE THE FAMOUS HANOI — THEN GO BEYOND IT

We believe Hanoi deserves more than a checklist of attractions.

Of course, our journeys can introduce you to the city’s iconic landmarks — Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Old Quarter, Hanoi Opera House, the French Quarter, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Long Bien Bridge, the Imperial Citadel area and other historic sites.

But the real character of Hanoi often begins when you leave the main tourist roads.

Our Jeep experiences can take you through hidden backstreets and small alleys, past residential neighborhoods, markets, schools, traditional homes, lakeside communities and rural landscapes. Depending on the experience you choose, the journey can extend beyond central Hanoi into the surrounding countryside, where rice fields, villages, farms and traditional ways of life provide a striking contrast to the energy of the capital. The Hanoi Jeep program currently highlights city discovery, hidden gems, backroads, countryside, rural villages, Red River landscapes, Bat Trang and other experiences beyond the conventional city itinerary.

This is what we call the Hanoi beyond the postcard.

FROM MORNING LIGHT TO HANOI AFTER DARK

Hanoi changes throughout the day.

Early in the morning, the city wakes slowly. Markets become busy, street vendors begin their daily routines, and residents gather in parks and around lakes.

By afternoon, Hanoi becomes energetic and vibrant, with traffic, cafés, markets and neighborhoods moving at their own rhythm.

As evening arrives, the city transforms again.

Street food stalls begin to fill the sidewalks. Cafés become lively. The Old Quarter glows under street lights. Families gather for dinner. Young people meet friends. And the city’s famous night atmosphere begins.

That is why our Hanoi Jeep experiences are designed around different moments of the day.

Guests can choose from morning, afternoon, sunset and evening experiences, including city discovery, hidden-gem journeys, countryside excursions and Hanoi street-food experiences. Existing Hanoi Jeep programs also feature morning, afternoon and sunset/night departures, with food experiences integrated into selected tours.

For travelers who want to understand Hanoi rather than simply photograph it, seeing the city at different times of day offers a much richer experience.

HANOI STREET FOOD — EXPERIENCED DIFFERENTLY

Food is one of the most important ways to understand Hanoi.

The city’s culinary culture is not confined to restaurants. It exists in tiny eateries, family-run kitchens, street stalls, neighborhood cafés and decades-old recipes passed from one generation to another.

Our Jeep food experiences are designed to connect sightseeing with Hanoi’s culinary culture.

Rather than simply moving from one restaurant to another, we combine the atmosphere of the city at night with food, stories, neighborhoods and everyday life.

Depending on the experience, guests may discover famous Vietnamese dishes, Hanoi specialties, street-side eateries, traditional cafés and signature drinks such as egg coffee.

The original Hanoi Jeep experiences similarly combine open-air Jeep sightseeing with Hanoi street food, backstreets, night life and cultural discovery.

Because for us, food is not simply something you eat. It is part of the story of Hanoi.

PRIVATE, PERSONAL AND FLEXIBLE

We believe the best travel experiences leave room for personality.

That is why Hanoi Women Travel places strong emphasis on private and customized journeys.

Traveling with your partner?

Traveling with your family?

Celebrating a birthday or anniversary?

Traveling with friends?

Planning a special experience for a private group?

Our team can adapt the journey around your interests, preferred pace and travel style.

The original Hanoi Jeep program offers both small-group and private customized options, while its experiences are designed to combine major attractions with less-visited areas and countryside landscapes.

For us, personalization means more than changing the departure time.

It means understanding what you want to discover and creating a journey around it.

WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN

Travel With Purpose

Hanoi Women Travel was created by women, led by women, and built around a belief in the potential of women.

We believe tourism can be a powerful way to create opportunities.

When travelers choose a women-led experience, they are not simply booking a tour. They are helping create professional opportunities for women working in tourism and hospitality.

We want Vietnamese women to have opportunities to develop careers as guides, travel designers, sales professionals, customer-care specialists, tour operators, drivers, entrepreneurs and tourism leaders.

Our broader Vietnam Women Travel philosophy is built around supporting female guides, women-owned businesses, family-run businesses, artisans and communities through tourism.

This is not a marketing slogan for us.

It is part of why we started.

We know what it means to begin with a small dream.

Three friends.

One city.

One decision to create something together.

And we want more women to have the opportunity to write their own stories.

AUTHENTICITY OVER PERFORMANCE

We do not believe that Vietnam needs to be polished to be beautiful.

Real Hanoi can be chaotic.

It can be noisy.

It can be crowded.

It can be surprising.

It can be wonderfully imperfect.

And that is exactly what makes it memorable.

Our journeys are designed to show Hanoi as it is — the beautiful parts, the historic parts, the modern parts, the busy streets, the quiet alleys, the traditional neighborhoods, the rapidly changing skyline, the countryside and the people who give the city its character.

We don’t want travelers to simply collect photographs.

We want them to leave with stories.

A conversation.

A taste.

A smell.

A laugh.

A street they would never have found alone.

A moment they will remember years after returning home.

OUR WOMEN, OUR GREATEST ASSET

A Jeep can take you somewhere.

A great guide can make you understand where you are.

That is why we invest so much in our people.

Our team is built around experienced women who understand both Hanoi and international travelers.

They bring together destination knowledge, communication skills, hospitality, storytelling and genuine curiosity.

Most importantly, they bring personality.

Every woman has her own Hanoi.

One may know the city’s history.

Another may know its food.

Another may have grown up around the Old Quarter.

Another may know the countryside surrounding the Red River.

Another may be passionate about Vietnamese culture, architecture, coffee or contemporary life.

Together, these individual perspectives create something no guidebook can provide:

a personal introduction to Hanoi from people who call it home.

OUR PROMISE

We know that choosing a tour company is about trust.

You are trusting someone with your limited holiday time.

You are trusting us with your comfort.

You are trusting us to make the experience worth remembering.

That responsibility matters to us.

Our promise is to deliver journeys that are:

Personal — because every traveler is different.

Thoughtful — because the details matter.

Authentic — because Vietnam is best experienced through real stories and human connections.

Comfortable — because adventure should not mean sacrificing care.

Professional — because passion and professionalism belong together.

Women-led — because we believe women should have the opportunity to lead, grow and succeed.

MORE THAN A JEEP TOUR

Hanoi Women Travel is not simply a company that takes travelers around Hanoi by Jeep.

We are a team of Vietnamese women who believe that travel can connect people.

We believe a visitor can arrive as a stranger and leave feeling that they understand a little more about Vietnam.

We believe the best journeys are the ones that create conversations.

We believe a city should be experienced from more than one angle.

And we believe tourism can create opportunities for women while creating meaningful experiences for travelers.

That is why our journeys go beyond sightseeing.

We take you into the streets, the stories, the food, the history, the countryside and the everyday life of Hanoi.

And we do it from the seat of one of Vietnam’s most distinctive touring vehicles — the open-air Jeep — accompanied by women who know the city not only professionally, but personally.

THREE FRIENDS. ONE DREAM. A NEW WAY TO SEE HANOI.

In 2017, Hien Helen, Linh Lily and Vy Vicky started with a shared history and a shared belief.

We grew up together in Hanoi.

We studied tourism together.

We worked in tourism together.

And eventually, we decided to create our own path.

Today, that original friendship remains at the heart of what we do.

Every Jeep that leaves Hanoi carries a little piece of that story.

A story about friendship.

A story about Hanoi.

A story about women creating opportunities.

And a story about showing travelers that there is always another side of a destination waiting to be discovered.

Welcome to Hanoi Women Travel.

Welcome to Hanoi.

See the city differently. Travel with women. Discover the Hanoi beyond the postcard.
