Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Bac Sum Pass – Heaven Gate – Yen Minh – Tham Ma Pass – Hmong King Palace – Dong Van

Your journey begins with a comfortable transfer from Hanoi to Ha Giang. Depending on your preferred schedule, we can arrange a private limousine or another suitable transfer option. Upon arrival in Ha Giang, meet your professional female-led team and continue your adventure by open-air Jeep. Within a short distance of Ha Giang City, the scenery begins to change as the road climbs into the mountains, revealing dramatic limestone peaks, valleys and traditional villages.

Continue through Bac Sum Pass toward Quan Ba Heaven Gate, where you can enjoy panoramic views over Tam Son and the famous Twin Mountains. After taking time to enjoy the scenery and photograph the landscape, continue toward Yen Minh, passing through beautiful mountain roads and peaceful countryside. Stop for lunch before continuing deeper into the Dong Van Karst Plateau, with its distinctive limestone formations, terraced fields and mountain communities.

In the afternoon, travel through the spectacular landscape toward Dong Van, passing the dramatic Tham Ma Pass along the way. Visit the historic Hmong King Palace in Sa Phin, an important cultural and architectural site connected with the history of the Hmong people in the region. Continue to Dong Van Town, check into your accommodation and enjoy dinner. Afterward, relax or take a short walk around the peaceful mountain town before spending your first night in Dong Van.

Day 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Meo Vac – Mau Due – Du Gia

After breakfast, leave Dong Van and begin one of the most spectacular sections of the entire journey. Follow the famous Happiness Road toward Ma Pi Leng Pass, surrounded by enormous limestone cliffs and deep valleys. Stop at scenic viewpoints to admire the spectacular landscape and enjoy panoramic views of the Nho Que River far below. Continue along the mountain road and, where conditions allow, take the Sky Path viewpoint for an even more impressive perspective of the valley and surrounding mountains.

Continue toward Meo Vac and travel through the more remote mountain areas around Lung Ho and Mau Due. Stop for lunch and enjoy the scenery before continuing along quieter roads away from the busiest sections of the Ha Giang Loop. This part of the journey offers a closer look at mountain life, with traditional villages, terraced fields, limestone formations and communities living among the mountains.

In the afternoon, continue toward Du Gia Village through spectacular mountain scenery. Du Gia is known for its diverse ethnic communities and peaceful valley setting, offering a very different atmosphere from Dong Van and Meo Vac. Day 3: Du Gia – Bac Me – Bao Lam – Me Pia Area – Bao Lac

After breakfast, leave Du Gia and begin a longer Jeep journey toward Bao Lac. Today’s route takes you away from the classic Ha Giang Loop and deeper into the remote landscapes connecting Ha Giang and Cao Bang. Travel through Bac Me and Bao Lam, passing forests, limestone mountains, valleys and traditional villages. The route provides a fascinating glimpse into the quieter side of northern Vietnam.

The journey continues through a spectacular mountain landscape where winding roads and hidden valleys create a constantly changing view. Stop along the way for photographs and enjoy lunch during the journey. One of the highlights is the approach toward the dramatic Me Pia Pass area, where the road winds through the mountains and offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

After breakfast, leave Bao Lac and continue toward Cao Bang through spectacular mountain roads. The journey takes you through the dramatic landscape around Me Pia Pass, with winding roads, steep mountains and deep valleys surrounding the route. Stop at a suitable viewpoint to appreciate the scale of the mountains and take photographs before continuing toward Cao Bang.

Continue toward the Ban Gioc region and visit Nguom Ngao Cave, one of the most impressive caves in northern Vietnam. Explore the cave’s remarkable limestone formations before continuing through the mountains toward Ban Gioc Waterfall. The route begins with the spectacular landscapes of Ha Giang, including Bac Sum Pass, Heaven Gate, Dong Van, Ma Pi Leng and Du Gia. It then continues through Bac Me, Bao Lam and Bao Lac before reaching the dramatic landscapes of Cao Bang.
